ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. (KRQE) – The East vs. West Classic continued Thursday night with the Manzano Monarchs traveling West to meet the Atrisco Heritage Jaguars. Quarterback Michael Roybal put the Monarchs up 14 to nothing in the second quarter when he ran into the end zone from four yards out.

That would be more than enough for the Monarchs who would finish the game with a lopsided 40-6 victory. Game official Bob Collins deserve credit for being a part of the game. Collins was knocked to the ground in a play that went straight up the middle.

He dusted himself off and continued working. The East vs. West Classic continues Friday as Sandia faces Rio Grande at Nusenda Community Stadium at 5 p.m. Del Norte and West Mesa will play the late game starting at 8 p.m.
