ALBUQUERQUE (KRQE)- Local UFC fighter, Tim “The Dirty Bird” Means, is set to fight Alex Oliveira on December 3rd in Las Vegas, Nevada.

Means is now 26-7 professionally and is coming off a UFC welterweight victory in August against Sabah Homasi by a 1st round TKO.

Means has said openly that he really wanted to fight Donald Cerrone, after losing the opportunity due to a supplement fiasco where Means was found not guilty to knowingly taking performance enhancing drugs. He is back and in true form coming off that suspension with a TKO victory and now another great fight on a highly anticipated UFC card.

“This is the cowboy that stepped in and filled my spot back in February to fight Cerrone, so I feel like I lost a little of my momentum to thins guy for stepping in. So, I called him out in back October, he has something that I want to go take. He got some of my momentum and I want to go take that back,” said Tim Means.

This is set to be one of the biggest fight cards of the year with Ronda Rousey making her return to the octagon. Tim was planning on fighting in November, but received the call about this fight and couldn’t turn it down. It is a little bit more of a wait than a November fight, but Means doesn’t mind and actually likes the December 30th date a lot.

“It’s just the right timing and its right after Christmas, right after you spend a lot of your money on the holidays. So, it’s worth getting into a fist fight right after that,” said Means. UFC 207 is December 30th in Las Vegas and will be shown on Pay per View.
