BURLINGTON, Vt. (AP) – The mayor and the city of Burlington are inviting soccer fans to cheer on the U.S. in its final match in the Women’s World Cup.

A watch party will be held in City Hall Park on Sunday at 7 p.m. The event is being organized by the mayor’s office, the Burlington Parks, Recreation and Waterfront Department and Burlington Telecom.

The U.S. is playing Japan for the women’s World Cup title. The two teams were paired in the 2011 final match, when the U.S. women lost to Japan on penalty kicks.
