ALBUQUERQUE (KRQE) – Lobos Head Basketball Coach Craig Neal held his final news conference of the season Wednesday. Neal admitted the season did not go as smooth as he would have liked. Injuries set the Lobos back. Neal feels good about the future. It is a future that will not include guard Arthur Edwards. Edwards will graduate and leave the program to play a fifth year at another institution.

“It was a mutual decision,” said Neal. “He did everything I asked him to do. He had great opportunities here to play.” Neal said Edwards is hoping for more playing time at his next stop. Edwards played in 22 games and averaged 12 minutes, 3.9 points and 2 rebounds.

Neal also talked about the upcoming schedule. The Lobos will host Rice and Northern Iowa. They will also go on the road to play at USC and Purdue. Finalized times and dates will be announced later.
