ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. (KRQE) – The more rounds he gets, the more he enhances his chances of getting on a big card one day.

Angelo Leo is a 24-year-old boxer from Albuquerque who has heavy hands. Finding someone to fight Leo is never an easy task.

Leo will take his talent to Casa Grande Chihuahua, Mexico July 9 to fight in his first ever 8-round bout. Leo has a 9-0 record with five knockouts.

He has fought as a pro in a fight scheduled for six rounds in the past. He still does not know who his opponent will be in Mexico but, he does know what it is like to fight there. He has done so in the past.

“It’s a great experience,” said Leo. “The people are really supportive. After my last fight everybody was coming up to me, taking pictures, taking selfies with me. It was really nice. After that fight we stayed just taking pictures with people, shaking people hands and just giving autographs.”

Maybe they know something good about his future. Leo is hoping that is the case.
